Accessibility

We take accessibility very seriously as it’s important to us that people from all walks of life can visit and enjoy our venue. That’s why we do our utmost to ensure that no individual or group is reasonably excluded from any of our activities, facilities or services that we offer. Throughout the calendar, we offer a range of ice skating opportunities for those with disabilities, and their families.

For those who would benefit from a calmer environment while on the ice, our skating session on Sunday morning (10.30am – 12.30pm) has quieter music and skaters are encouraged to skate slower.

Essential companions skate for free when accompanying their patron at sessions. You may be asked to show nationally recognised documents to confirm that a carer is required so please bring this with you for your skate.

If you have any questions for our Accessibility Team, please contact us on [email protected]

ICE SKATING

The ice can be accessed on skates, in a wheelchair or in a purpose built sledge (sledge must be booked in advance). Coaches can be booked at an additional charge to provide support. Structured lessons and one-on-one coaching are available separately, or ice can be hired on a private basis for groups. Email our team on [email protected] to enquire.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

A public blue badge holder car park is situated directly next to the venue on Dean Street. This facility is operated by Nottingham City Council and works on a first come first serve basis. On street parking is also available on nearby streets if you need somewhere close to park.

DROP OFF AND ENTRANCES

The main entrance can be accessed via Bolero Square, situated just off Barker Gate. This entrance allows flat floor access and is equipped with an automatic opening door.

CHANGING PLACES FACILITY

Our changing places facility is accessible via the main foyer lift on level 3 of the venue, available 9am - 11pm daily. The room includes a mobile height adjustable changing bench and ceiling track hoist system. Please speak to the steward on the door for access to a RADAR key.

ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES

Accessible toilets are provided on every level and are situated in all our main public areas, as well as meeting all standards set out in British Standard Design of Buildings 8300.

LIFTS AND WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Lifts operate to all floors within the venue and are wide enough to accommodate a standard wheelchair. The public skating entrance doors open automatically.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

Assistance dogs are welcomed in the venue, however please be aware that noise levels are increased during certain sessions. Please contact our team on [email protected] if an assistance dog will be accompanying you to a session upon booking.

SENSORY TOURS

For those customers that require familiarising themselves with the venue before attending a skating session, please contact our Box Office on freephone 0808 164 4616 to arrange a suitable time.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION
