National Ice Centre Hosts Successful Club Welfare Officer Network Event!
We were delighted to host Franky's first Club Welfare Officer network event in partnership with Active Notts
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for representatives from various sports clubs, including ice hockey, ice skating, gymnastics, athletics, and swimming, to connect and share best practices. It was clear from the discussions that there’s a strong demand for face-to-face interaction and collaboration within the welfare officer network.
Franky facilitated valuable discussions where attendees shared their experiences, resources, and ideas around safeguarding practices within their respective clubs. We believe constant learning and improvement are key to providing the best possible support for athletes.
The second half of the event focused on working through various safeguarding scenarios. Participants offered valuable insights and practical solutions, demonstrating the strength of collaboration across different sports.
A special thank you to Ryan and Donna for their incredible support and for making the event such a success!
We look forward to hosting similar events in the future and fostering a robust network for club welfare officers across the region.
Stay tuned for updates on future events!
