ICE HOCKEY LESSONS

Ice Hockey is one of the world’s fastest team sports full of skilful handling, tactics, speed and determination. Learn how to play this exciting sport and you could join an ice hockey club and compete or simply enjoy ice hockey as a leisure activity, participating in games with players of all abilities.

NEW TO HOCKEY?

If you’re new to skating, you need to start on our Skate Hockey course. This course teaches participants how to skate the hockey way learning basic techniques. No previous skating experience is required to start this course.

Levels 1-6 are 30 minute group lessons and partial ice hockey equipment is required (helmet, throat guard, gloves, hockey skates and stick).

PLAY HOCKEY

You can progress to this course upon completion of level 6 Skate Hockey. This is a six-week course for ages 4 to 16 years and there are three levels to work through. Play Hockey uses a similar format to that of Skate Hockey but with the addition of learning puck handling skills at the same time as skating. Levels 1-3 are 30 minute group lessons and full ice hockey equipment is required (helmet with face mask, throat guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey shirt, gloves, hockey shorts, hockey leg guards, hockey jock (boys) or pelvic protector (girls), hockey socks, hockey skates and stick).

What's after Skate and Play Hockey?

You could join an ice hockey club and compete, attend barrier hockey sessions to practice puck handling, skating drills and mini-game situations, or enjoy ice hockey at leisure and participate in scrimmage sessions with ice hockey players of all abilities, or attend ice hockey camps and training events.
