A Great Place To Learn
Skating enables pre-schoolers to develop self-confidence and improve their balance and coordination skills. It’s also a great way for children to stay active and healthy.
We offer free skating for children aged 5 and under when accompanied by a full paying adult. Enjoy a skate with your little one in our dedicated Tots Zone.
Pushchairs are allowed on the ice on any public skating session. The wheels should be relatively clean with all bags/straps tucked away inside the pushchair.
Tots Zone
The Tots Zone is an area in the centre of the ice dedicated to 5 and unders and their parents.
Available every weekend from 10:30am - 12:30pm on Saturday and at both skating sessions on Sunday, the Tots Zone includes ice equipment and helps little ones to grow confidence on the ice at their own pace... something that seems to be ideal for parents too!
ICE EQUIPMENT
Ice equipment can be hired for the entire session for £5 per item.

INFO FOR PARENTS
- Dress your child in layers of warm clothes. Gloves and hats can be purchased at Skate Hire.
- The Tots Zone is exclusively available during weekends for children aged 5 and under
- Bringing a pushchair? We can store it away while you’re here
- Baby changing and feeding facilities (to warm up bottles) are available on level 2 by the Encore toilets. We are a breast feed friendly venue
- A children’s menu is available in our Sub Zero cafè
- Our smallest skate size is a child’s size 5
TOTS LEARN TO SKATE WITH PARENTS
Designed for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years with parents in mind, this course enables a parent to join their toddler and help them with balance and coordination.
Led by an experienced coach, basic skating skills and fun activities take place both on and off the ice to ensure toddlers learn how to skate in a fun and safe environment.
As a parent, it will also enable you to become confident on the ice with your toddler.

TOTS LEARN TO SKATE WITHOUT PARENTS
This course is designed for tots aged 3 – 5 years who want to take part in structured skating tuition before joining our main skating classes.
Our experienced coaches will take your little ones from learning to stand on the ice to fully fledged skaters.

SKATE HOCKEY
If your little one is new to skating, they can start on our Skate Hockey course. Starting from the age of 4, this course teaches participants how to skate the hockey way learning basic techniques. No previous skating experience is required to start this course.
